This week I was given an overview of the work I will be completing over this year.

This is the year of our major project and we will be working on this over Semester 1 and 2.

Time Management

As this is a 40 credit module, I will be putting approx. 400 hours of class time and self study towards this module. Our classes for 501 and 502 are scheduled for every Tuesday from 10am to 5pm. From my time on placement I have learned how much a structured daily routine helps me concentrate and keep to my goals. Therefore, I have planned to be in the library from 10am to 5pm, working on modules 501 and 502 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Below is how I’ve scheduled my time over Semester 1 so far, things will change as I learn which tasks require more of my time but it’s important to plan ahead regardless.

Considerations for my Major Project

• Don’t be afraid to take risks
• Explore multiple approaches to a problem
• Work on having a growth mindset- open to changing plans and ideas
• Broaden my typeface choices
• Project does not need to be built- take risks and be open to unusual ideas
• I will be seeking employment after graduation so playing to my strengths with this project would be a good idea
• The possible business strategy of the project
• The tone of voice of the project
